Learn to Relieve Stress with Hypnosis

For a  long time we’ve know that stress can affect our health.  We did not know how or why stress affected our health.  Recent studies have given us a clearer understanding of this. Studies, such as the one conducted by Carnegie Mellon University have show that chronic stress is one of the causes of inflammation.  Stress can interfere with the body’s anti-inflammatory response.  Our bodies release the hormone cortisol to fight inflammation.  When chronic stress occurs this is process is interrupted. Immune cells become less sensitive and do not respond as they should and inflammation occurs.  We know that inflammation causes or influences diseases such as heart disease, arthritis, and several others.

Hypnosis can help reduce stress.  Did you know that Stress is cumulative. Using hypnosis regularly can help keep stress levels lower. By keeping stress levels lower, you can reduce inflammation.  This can influence disease because when you have less stress, you have less inflammation.  You may have more control on your health than previously thought.  When you release stress it is easier to deal with new and/or recurring stressors in a calm manner. Did you know that hypnosis can also root-out emotional issues that may lead to stress?  Emotions can lead to stress.  It’s true, you can actually be your own biggest stressor.  Emotions and stress affects our immune system.  That is why they tell cancer patients to avoid stress and reduce it if possible.  Regardless of whether stress is caused internally or externally it can have an effect on the actions we take.  It can contribute to anger, worry, unhealthy habits such as smoking, over eating and drug and alcohol abuse.  Using hypnosis you relax and release the stress.  You can change how you perceive events, giving them less importance, and you can change how you react to them.  This releases the amount of stress you have.

Reiki for Balance and Wellness

Energy healing is based on the concept that every living thing is made of energy.  Humans are made of energy.  You have physical, etheric and subtle energy bodies.  The subtle and etheric energy is often referred to as the human energy field or aura.  Within the energy field are energy center points called chakras.  When one or more of these chakras are out of balance or blocked or physical illness can occur.  Stress can also occur when there is an imbalance or blockage.  Additionally stress can cause a blockage or imbalance.  It is well know that stress can lead to illness.

Reiki energy is one of these energy healing modalities.  It is based on the works of or re-discovery of this healing method by Dr. Usui.  Reiki practitioners are attuned to this energy so that they can transfer it to you.  Reiki can be hands on, hands just above the body, or sent from a distance.  If you have been attuned to Reiki you can treat others and you can also give self-treatments.  Reiki can even be used on pets.  It can be used to energize water, food, plants and more. Reiki can also be integrated with other healing modalities. Studies are now being done about the benefits of Reiki.  It is now being used in addition to traditional healing methods in many hospitals and in hospice settings.

Reiki is one method of promoting balance and removing blockages from the energy field.  Reiki helps reduce stress.  When stress is reduced and energy flows more freely you are more likely to experience wellness, balance and harmony.

   Your health and well-being is our main priority at Create Change Hypnosis.  When you come to us for either hypnosis or Reiki and regardless of whether you come to have work done on a mental, emotional or physical level we almost always work on releasing  excess stress in addition to the issue. As a result, positive outcomes are more likely.  You make the changes you desire and you feel better.


     When you want to release an unwanted habit such as smoking, over-eating, or biting your fingernails, part of the program is releasing stress, increasing self-esteem and building your confidence.  If you have fears such as height, public speaking, flying, driving or others, hypnosis can be the answer.  When you are dealing with fear, you are also dealing with stress.  So releasing the fear and the stress associated with it is beneficial to your health and well-being.  Positive results!

There are many things you can do to reduce stress.  Some are quick fixes like deep breathing.  Others work longer such as exercise, yoga, meditation,and many other ways.

Another way the you can feel better emotionally, mentally and physically is Reiki.  It helps to balance our energy and release stress.  It is based on the theory that we have energy centers in our body called chakras.  When these energy centers are unbalanced it can lead to illness.  Stress can contribute to imbalance.  Reiki can be given by placing the hands on or slightly above these energy centers.  It can also be sent from a distance.  Once your energy is balanced, you release excess stress and you feel a general sense of well-being.  Positive results!

Audubon Office-moved from Collingswood

I just wanted to be sure that everyone knows that I moved my office from Collingswood to 240 S. White Horse Pike, Audubon, NJ 08106, the last week of February.  The new office is just 2.5 miles from the old office.  There is also lighted free parking in the rear of the building.The reasons that I moved were that I wanted a bigger office to accommodate more students, I wanted free parking, and because my former landlord put the building up for sale.

Forgiveness

Forgiveness is a strong powerful emotion. It is a release of negativity and fear based emotions. When I speak of forgiveness I am not only talking about forgiving someone who has done something to hurt you in some way, but also of forgiving yourself. You feel better when you can forgive.

During the holidays we are often put in a situation where we are with family members or others that we usually avoid because of past hurts. Not only is this very uncomfortable for the people involved it is also awkward for those around them. Imagine what a gift it would be to yourself and everyone around you if you would forgive the person or persons. Imagine what a heavy burden that would be lifted from your shoulders and how good you would feel. When we are angry with someone and feel those intense emotions the one we are really hurting is ourselves.

Self forgiveness is also healing. We are usually our biggest critic. We hold on to things that we have done or said in the past. We let guilt, anger, and shame fester. Let it go. When you can forgive yourself you can release these fear based emotions that may have held you back. When you feel these emotions you are often stuck. When you forgive yourself you stop holding back and are empowered to move forward. You end up with more positive outcomes. You realize that holding those emotions inside was only poisoning yourself. To release those emotions is therapeutic. Forgiveness heals.

Forgiveness is a frequent part of my hypnosis work. Often people are reluctant or unwilling to forgive, they have been holding onto such intense hurt and anger. After I have coached them about forgiveness and how not forgiving hurts them much more than the person they thought they were unable to forgive, they are more likely to forgive. They feel a release of emotions and much better.

Forgiveness is not about the person that you are forgiving, it is about you. Try to truly forgive someone and you will feel better.

 

Essential Oils of SJ Meeting Festival

Last night I had the pleasure of being one of several speakers at the Holiday Meeting for the Essential Oils of SJ Meeting Festival in Blackwood, NJ.  The theme was Stress During the Holidays.  Sometimes, with the clients permission of course, I use aromatherapy during my hypnosis and Reiki sessions. So I spoke about hypnosis and which oils I use during my hypnosis sessions.

The room was decorated for Christmas.  There was Christmas lights and a Christmas tree.  Poinsettias and Christmas table cloths on all the vendor tables, including mine.  The room smelled  absolutely wonderful.  Christmas Spirit oil was diffused.

There were many interesting people there.  I met a woman that had heard about me from a friend of hers that had been to a Past Life Exploration session that I had conducted several months ago.  Several people were there that I had met before at other events, including a man that specializes in whole foods and juicing.  I’m now inspired to start juicing again.  Networking can be so fun.
